In the early 80's , as a 13 year old I used to live out in Cyprus and once got nicked by the Cypriot police for shop lifting (which was fair enough , as I had been !!)
However they thought nothing of hitting me around the back of head until I was unconscious for my refusal to tell them where I lived.
When they discovered my old man was an RSM in the Armed Forces based in nearby Dhekelia they couldn't do enough for me.
Therefore tales of dodgy statements and false confessions do not surprise me at all regarding the Cypriot old bill.

According to the podcast there is a video of part of the event. However it’s NOT the video everyone is circulating where she is with multiple guys.
The video is just her with 1 guy and these other guys filming it apparently. And she is telling the others to go away.
Also, it was the doctor of the hotel that called the police, not her. The police rounded up any old group of Israeli boys (which explains why some of them will protest complete innocence as they would be).
She signed a confession she didn’t write because she was in a messed up mental state.
The above explains why the British government could put out such a strong statement against this conviction.
I’m gutted for her really. It’s not right.
